In the bar we try to provide a warm welcome for everyone. We have three real fires in the Winter and the full menu is available everywhere.
There are three separate areas which operate differently at different times with plenty of space for children and well-behaved dogs on leads. The full menu is available everywhere or feel free to have a drink in the bar before going through to the restaurant.
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY you are very welcome to come in just for a pint of ale or a coffee and either sit at the bar or at a table for a chat or to read the paper - whatever suits you.
We love our real ales at the Village Inn, so why not come in and enjoy a pint. Below is a selection of the real ales we have on offer at the bar.
This strong dark mild has a subtle blackcurrant aroma, full-bodied with a rich, fruity, sweet finish. Hops used Pilgrim, Progress.
A ghostly pale ale with a good assertive bitterness and a malty backbone giving it some great citrus flavours
A well balanced session beer with a light amber colour, fermented slowly to give a dry, moreish finish.
Delightfully moreish, this revivifying blonde ale has an abundantly refreshing citrus aroma.
Slightly misted golden IPA, distinctly crisp with a dry uprising bitterness. Robust citrus dominate the aroma and palate
Light but full of flavour and with a delicious citrus aftertaste. Great with Norfolk Ham and Turkey or on its own.
